Welcome to the Sundowner Motel & Cabin Park! We’re Whyalla’s accommodation specialists, with something for every budget.
For short- or long-term stays, Eyre Peninsula holidays or Whyalla work contracts, we’ve got you covered. We’re the perfect pit stop on your way to Port Lincoln, Streaky Bay, Ceduna or Port Augusta.
Located off the Lincoln Highway, we’re just three minutes from the Whyalla Airport by car, and a short walk to the town centre.
Our Motel & Cabin Park is quiet, comfortable and secure. The Motel has 37 newly renovated ground-floor units, and our Cabin Park has 72 affordable, self-contained cabins, 55 of which are two-bedroom.
All are fully furnished, with lounge and dining areas for you to spread out in, and modern kitchen facilities, including a full-sized fridge and stove.
There’s also a coin-operated laundry onsite for added convenience, and ample parking with room for your boat, trailer or caravan.

Glass-Bottom Boat Tour
Each year between May and August, tens of thousands of Australian Giant Cuttlefish descend on the coastline of Whyalla for their annual ritual of mating and spawning.
This phenomenon is the greatest mass gathering of these incredible creatures anywhere on Earth and attracts thousands of people from all over the world to witness these brightly coloured ‘chameleons of the sea’ as they change colour, shape and texture to blend in with their surroundings.
